For the Wings
- 2 lbs chicken wings split into drumettes and flats
- 2 tbsp cornstarch for crispier texture
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the Mango Habanero Sauce
- 2 cups mango fresh or frozen, diced
- 1-2 habanero peppers seeded for less heat
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or heat oil in a deep fryer if frying.
Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel and toss them in a bowl with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
For Baking: Place wings on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
For Frying: Heat oil to 350°F and fry wings for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
For Air Frying: Air fry at 400°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
To make the mango habanero sauce, blend mango, habanero peppers, honey, lime juice, garlic, and salt until smooth.
Heat a pan with olive oil, add the blended sauce, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
